This year, some of the HotDoc team proudly participated in the Movember Foundation’s annual ‘Movember’ fundraising drive.
The Movember Foundation is a charity dedicated to improving men’s health on a global scale. It addresses some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. Their aim is to create a 25% reduction in the number of men dying prematurely by 2030.
Twelve of our team members grew moustaches throughout November, with the results ranging from impressive to slightly ridiculous. But more importantly, we were able to raise over $3,800 for the Movember Foundation’s initiatives. Many of our team have been personally touched by some of the issues that the Movember Foundation addresses, which really drove home the importance of reducing the stigma associated with mens health, and increasing research into all-important treatments, and perhaps even cures.
Although it’s now past November, you are welcome to donate to our team, and the worthy cause. Just visit our Movember team page.
The team participated in a retro-themed photo shoot to mark the occasion – check out some of the best photos below!
