About the Presenter

Jan Rice

Director, Wound Care Services & Wounds R US

Jan Rice has been heavily involved in wound care since she undertook her 12 months Plastic Surgical Nurse Training program in 1979 at the Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit, Preston & Northcote Community Hospital. After 15 years the call of surgery and wound care saw her work with Monash University and Wound Foundation of Australia and then in 2007 take up a position at LaTrobe University working with World of Wounds.
Jan has served on Advisory Boards, Key Opinion Leader Groups, Wound Committees both local, National and International. Jan has authored many papers, mostly common sense personal approach to wound problems rather than full-on science/research articles.
Jan also spent years volunteering in resource-poor communities abroad and working in aged care and running her own clinic in primary health care setting of a General Practice clinic in Melbourne for 16 years. Learn more about Wounds R US here.
